Q: Do I need to register to attend Open Day?
A: We recommend registering to attend Open Day. You can build your own timetable, and we will keep in touch to share the latest event updates. Please be aware that adding an activity, talk or tour to your timetable is an expression of interest only. Participation in activities, tours or seats in a talk are not guaranteed.
Q: How do I plan my day?
A: Plan your day in advance by adding sessions to your timetable through the program and use the interactive map on the day to find your way around campus.
Please note: Adding an event to your timetable does not guarantee you access to the session on the day.
Our campus is large. Walking between venues can take several minutes. We recommend you are familiar with the locations you intend to visit prior to the day to make the most of it.
Q: I am interested in postgraduate study, can I attend Open Day?
A: We’ve designed the day for future undergraduate students, and we welcome family and friends, along with anyone interested in undergraduate study. Find out more about upcoming postgraduate events
Q: How can I prepare before the day?
A: Do your research and explore our website to get ideas about what you want to get out of the day. Have your personalised schedule ready, familiarise yourself with the map and read all the FAQs in this section. You can even download and print the Open Day timetable (pdf, 409KB) before the day and be ready to go.

On the day
Q: How do I get to the University?
A: Free shuttle bus
Free shuttle that runs between our campus and Central and Redfern stations on the day. Pick-up and drop-off locations will be the following:
- Camperdown Campus: Public bus stop on City Road, outside the Jane Foss Russell Building.
- Central Station: Bays 8 and 9 in the Central Station Coach Park Terminal, take the Western Forecourt exit from the station towards Pitt Street.
- Redfern Station: Bus zone on Gibbons Street (northbound) towards Redfern Street.
The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Train
- You can catch a train and walk to the Darlington Campus, a short (10-minute) walk from Redfern train station.
Visit Transport NSW for the most up-to-date information on public transport services.
We won’t recommend driving to campus as parking is minimal and many internal roads will be closed.
Q: Is the University accessible if I have special needs?
A: The majority of venues and spaces activated at Open Day are wheelchair accessible. If you need assistance with locating suitable routes and access to venues, please ask our friendly staff and Student Ambassadors.
Allocated disabled parking bays are available on campus for those with a valid disabled parking pass. Please speak to the security guards at the main University entrance on University Avenue for further assistance.

Q: Is there parking available?
A: Parking on campus is limited. Some roads will be closed due to safety reasons for our visitors. We recommend you utilise public transport to attend the event.
Sheppard Street carpark will be free of charge for visitors on the day. For all other parking locations across campus visit Campus Maps. For visitors with accessibility requirements, disabled parking bays are available across campus. Our security staff can assist you with finding an accessible parking spot.
Q: Where can I get an Open Day program?
A: Open Day programs will be available at all information stalls. Please visit the map to find your closest information point.
All the event information can be found on the Open Day website. Once you register, you’ll be able to use your login information to retrieve your timetable at any time.
Q: Where can I get something to eat?
A: Food outlets are located across campus. See the campus map for more information.

Q: Who should I speak to if I need help?
A: Please speak to our Student Ambassadors or security guards on campus if you need any assistance.
Q: I missed out on a talk I wanted to attend. What can I do?
A: Talks at Open Day are extremely popular. There will be overflow rooms where live talks will be live streamed. In addition, you will be able to access the live stream from your own device.
Look out for the QR code outside the lecture theatres. Most talks will be recorded and made available after the event. Visit the Open Day website after the event to access the videos.
Q: Can I get free WiFi access on Open Day?
A: Free WiFi is available on the day. Search for the wifi network name: Open Day and use the password: welcometosydney
